Read and Draw Activity: Back to School

Read and Draw Story

Back to School Drawing Prompt

Read and draw activities are a great way for young readers to practice their reading comprehension skills. There are many different ways to use drawing as a tool in both reading and writing. One simple way is for a child to draw out what he or she has read.

As we head toward the first day of school, here’s a fun back to school drawing prompt for elementary school students. It’s six pages with about a sentence per page inviting children to imagine and draw their first day of school. They’ll get to draw out their first day of school outfit and imagine what their favorite part of the school day will be.
